What the visit includes

Three steps, in the order your mattress needs them.

01

Vacuum extraction

Loose dust, skin flakes, hair and debris are drawn out of the surface and four sides before any moisture is used.

02

Controlled steam

Carefully controlled heat and moisture loosen residue in suitable fabrics, with all-natural solutions instead of heavy fragrance.

03

Wet extraction

Suitable mattresses are rinsed and extracted so suspended dirt and moisture leave the mattress rather than sinking deeper.

Why it matters

You spend a third of your life on it.

  • A mattress holds body moisture, skin cells and dust from every night of sleep, and a sheet only covers it.
  • Singapore's humidity keeps the fill warm and damp, which suits dust mites and musty odour.
  • Surface vacuuming at home reaches very little of what sits inside the top layers.
  • Cleaning every six to twelve months keeps that build-up at a lower, more comfortable baseline.

Mattress cleaning supports a more comfortable sleep environment. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent medical conditions.

A family relaxing at home after mattress cleaning

Before we arrive

Drying and preparation.

  • Remove bedsheets, blankets and mattress protectors
  • Clear the area around each bed
  • Tell Aira about known stains or pet accidents
  • Keep the room ventilated or air-conditioned while it dries

Drying usually takes several hours. Memory foam and other heat- or moisture-sensitive mattresses are checked on site and given lighter care where needed.

Good to know

Mattress cleaning questions.

How much is mattress cleaning in Singapore?

Aira Home Wellness mattress cleaning is S$90 per mattress, any size — single, super single, queen or king are the same price. Two mattresses are S$180, three S$270 and four S$360.

How long does mattress cleaning take?

About 1.5 hours for one mattress, with roughly 30 minutes more for each additional mattress — about 3 hours for four.

How long does a mattress take to dry?

Drying usually takes several hours and depends on mattress thickness, ventilation, humidity and air-conditioning. Keep the mattress uncovered and unused until it is fully dry.

Does mattress cleaning help with dust mites?

Vacuum extraction, steam and wet extraction remove dust, skin flakes and residue that dust mites live on, which helps reduce the allergen load in the mattress. It does not cure allergies or guarantee a health outcome.

Can you remove urine or sweat stains from a mattress?

We treat urine and sweat stains and usually reduce them noticeably, but no responsible service can promise every stain will disappear. Results depend on the stain, the material and how long it has been there. Tell Aira about the stain before the visit.

Is mattress cleaning safe for babies and children?

We use all-natural, low-residue solutions without heavy fragrance, and give clear drying guidance before anyone sleeps on the mattress again. For cot mattresses, prams and car seats, see Baby Essentials Care.

How often should a mattress be cleaned in Singapore?

Every six to twelve months suits most homes. Homes with young children, pets or allergy-sensitive sleepers may prefer every six months because of Singapore's humidity.
